OHNY Spring Benefit at TWA
To celebrate the restoration and transformation of the TWA Flight Center into the TWA Hotel, OHNY and Urban Archive teamed up to invite the public to share their memories of the original Center.

Artist Rachel Mica Weiss' Inverted Arches in Gold, hangs at The Ashland in Brooklyn, NY. It is an immersive installation composed of two lilting arcs in shining gold nylon rope.

SXSW "SAY IT LOUD" Exhibit
Principal Karen Stonely and her featured project, Westport Pool House, was displayed at the high profile and inspiring SXSW Convention. A taped video at the innovative event was part of the Social Impact Pavillion. In addition to this, the project was included in the A'19 Convention later in June where 25,000 industry leaders were registered to attend. The "SAY IT LOUD" exhibit is an initiative of Beyond the Built Environment promoting the contributions of minorities in the disciplines of architecture and design.

SPAN principal, Peter Pelsinski, visits a Central Park penthouse, only to discover additional attic space that will transform into a 10,000 square foot triplex. Hampshire House is an iconic building that began construction in 1931 and housed residents such as Frida Kahlo.

Wind and Reeds is Entered Into the Annual Competition, "Fairy Tales"
SPAN enters Blank Space's international competition, "Fairy Tales," with the title Wind and Reeds. The competition focused on "remind(ing) us that we belong in the global context." The 5th annual competition brought submissions from 65 countries, exploring current events through the creative process shown in beautifully crafted short stories and artwork.

The American House includes a collection of diverse contemporary residential designs built by leading architects. SPAN's project, August Moon Little House is included in this collection, illustrating through photographs and plans, their thoughtful solution to topographical challenges and sustainable design.
